eBay + CycleForge

eBay is usually both sides of a reseller's business — where the stock sells, and where a lot of it gets bought. CycleForge connects both directions, so a sold order becomes something to pack and a purchase becomes something to expect at the dock.

Sales channel

Selling: orders arrive ready to work

Connect a seller account and sold orders sync into the outbound queue with their line items, buyer details, and shipping addresses attached. From there they follow the normal floor path — pack, label, scan out — without anyone re-keying an order number.

The sync is exceptions-first, which matters more than it sounds. Warehouses accumulate tracking numbers that belong to no known order: a package scanned at the bench before its marketplace order landed, or a label bought outside the system. Each sync pass scans incoming tracking against those open exceptions and clears the ones it can match, instead of leaving a pile that someone reconciles by hand on Friday.

Buying: purchases become inbound freight

This is the half most tools skip. Resellers source stock on eBay too, and those purchases are not orders to fulfil — they are boxes that will show up at the door.

Connect a buyer account and your eBay purchases flow into Incoming as expected arrivals. When the box lands, its tracking is already known, so scanning it at receiving matches it to what you bought rather than opening an unidentified carton and working backwards from the packing slip.

Several accounts, one floor

Sellers rarely have exactly one account. Buyer and seller accounts are connected separately and scoped independently, so a single organization can run multiple storefronts and multiple sourcing accounts side by side. Each connection is tracked on its own — one account needing re-authorization does not stop the others syncing.

It stays connected on its own

eBay access tokens are short-lived. CycleForge rotates them on a schedule using the stored refresh token, so a working connection keeps working without anyone re-authorizing it monthly. A connection that genuinely breaks — a revoked grant, a changed password — shows as unhealthy in Settings with the actual error, rather than failing silently and quietly importing nothing.

What it does not do

Worth saying plainly, because integration pages usually don’t:

  • It does not create or edit listings. The eBay connection is an order channel — it brings sales and purchases in. Listing management stays in eBay’s own tools.
  • It does not push stock levels or prices back to eBay. Inventory counts live in your inventory backend, and CycleForge does not currently write quantities or pricing out to the channel.
  • It is not a bulk historical import. The sync is built to keep an active operation current, not to backfill years of closed orders.

Connecting it

Connection is OAuth — you authorize CycleForge from your own eBay account, and tokens are stored encrypted per organization. There is no API key to paste and nothing to copy between browser tabs. Connect from Settings → Integrations, choosing whether the account is a selling account, a buying account, or both.
